Internal Auditing Textbooks
The IIA recommends the extensive Sawyer (2003) textbook and Reding et al (2007) which aims at students and novice practitioners. A practitioner would probably like the hands-on approach of Pickett (2003).
Cannon's CISA prep book will help you to understand the IT fundamentals.
