A modernised structure of The IIA's Professional Practices Framework (PPF) has been approved by The IIA's Board of Directors in July 2007.

Key change of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing will be - along with a few changes to the Standards themselves - Interpretations derived from existing IIA Practice Advisories and internal auditing best practices from all over the world.

The IIA's new International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) aims at improved clarity, ease of implementation, and support of current trends in internal auditing's role. It also underlines The IIA's role as the global standard setter for the internal auditing profession.

The reviewed IIA Standards and Interpretations as well as an explanation on how to comment are provided on The IIA's web site. > link
